Goodbye, May...

This month has been really wonderful... all kinds of lovely things to see, eat and enjoy. Even the soggy, chilly past few days (vests and jumpers are back) haven't got me down. Here are some of my May highlights:

Finding a new home... a sunshine-filled birthday with family... cow parsley, red campion and buttercups... good books to read... Joe (always)... wisteria, lilac and ferns... garden pottering... baking... finishing my first ever handmade dress... fruit blossom, wild garlic and hawthorn flowers... playgroup coffee and conversation... Jersey Royal potatoes... writing posts for This is Your Kingdom, Garlic & Sapphire and the Colour Collaborative... and a big red SOLD sign appearing in the front garden!

Have you had a good month? I hope so...

  1. Our May has been pretty lovely too - the sunshine we have had has been very welcome! We've had birthdays, lots of time in the garden, holidays and plenty of family time. Your May sounds like it has been full of excitement and new-ness - wahey for the sold sign! (I obviously haven't been popping over to your page regularly enough as I think I'd missed that news!) Here's to lovely Junes for all x

    1. Hello! I think June will be lovely (although very busy chez Mitenska) but yes, we're moving and I can't wait... I'm walking that fine line between managing my expectations (in case it all falls through) and making lots of plans for when we land at the new place...
      Have a fab week x

    1. Thank you! I'm not really a pink/lilac person in general but sometimes they're too lovely to ignore...

  3. May's a lovely month isn't it, and it sounds as if it's been good to you this year. I love the collage, all of those pinks and purply colours are favourites of mine. Here's hoping June brings you lots of wonderful happy things too. CJ xx

    1. You too! I do love May - not too hot, everything's fresh and lush and the flowers really start to come into their own. I'm a sucker for cow parsley and hawthorn blossom!

    1. It will hopefully be a good month... probably a bit of a whirlwind but we've been waiting to get moved for so long I don't mind at all! It might be an idea to start packing (I've been putting that bit off).

And yes, having a birthday in May is rather nice (almost makes up for never having been May Queen, I suppose!)

  10. Thanks Sue! There were so many lovely things to photograph this past month. I think it's the best May I can remember in terms of flowers, fields and hedgerows.
