Lovely :) I also like to ring the changes with black and white sometimes, and for some subjects they're the better choice aren't they. Mind you a colour image would be nigh on as grey as these here today ... the rain is tipping down so no foraging for us, which is a bother because I wanted nettles for the dye pot.
But they'll be all lush and juicy when the rain stops!
It's been pretty grim here too - thunder and lightning. And we've got three outdoor parties to attend this weekend. Next weekend is off limits. We're closed for business!
Hope you get the dyeing done (and show us the pictures) :)
Your black and white photos really highlight shape and texture without the distraction of colour. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteAnd it sounds a bit silly to say that I was a bit tired of all that green.
DeleteBut the images look more striking in b&w. I usually reserve it for architecture but will do more with the more natural stuff I think!

Do! Sometimes they work, sometimes not... makes a nice change though. I used to do a lot of black and white and am getting into it again.
ReplyDeleteIt can make a so-so picture into something quite interesting.
