Joe's received another knitted gift: a cardigan from his auntie. He's a very lucky boy. And there's a jumper on the way too - I chose the yarn (a sort of vintage pale green) and my mum's knitting it. Tomorrow I'm off to buy some yarn and will attempt my first ever jumper. Luckily Joe's a bit too young to be fussy about his outfits. So he shouldn't notice the imperfections.
My pencils have had an outing too. Another commission. I did a bit of sketching and decided on conkers and feathers for this one.
I'll be buying a frame later this week.
This is my 'new' cup. As in newly purchased, but it's actually from the Sue Ryder shop in Ramsbottom. It's nice and substantial (and retro). Perfect for my afternoon cup of tea.
Joe's auntie made him a cushion too: sun on one side, moon on the other. It will be staying safely out of his cot for a little while...
And I have another commission: to sew a big floor cushion. I chose this fabric from Ikea. It was the last piece. The creepy crawlies and botanical diagrams remind me of my old job at the museum.
As the weather gets colder (it was frosty this morning) and the nights draw in I'm getting industrious: cooking, sewing, knitting, drawing. The Christmas presents are taking shape but there's still lots to do.
