The weekend in pictures

Farmer's market: purchases included tulips, sausage and bacon butties, lamb for Easter...

Early evening walks bluebell-spotting and enjoying the sunshine...

And lots of other small delights... baking (and eating) rhubarb cake; re-potting houseplants on the garden table; finishing one book and starting another; drinking hot chocolate; a Saturday morning library visit, and plenty of outdoor fun with the little one and his new toy tractor.

Hope you had a lovely weekend.

    1. Hello! He is a cutie, even with crumbs around his mouth... we all enjoyed a bit of 'unhealthy' food (necessary to keep the cold out!)

  2. The market looks wonderful, I wish we had places like that where I live. To me, it's fantasy shopping.

    1. Hi Jennifer. It was actually the annual Chocolate Festival so the usual farmer's market with bells on, basically! Fortunately I was more in the mood for savoury that day or may have come home with severe toothache!

  3. What beautiful photos, you are such a talented photographer. You've captured your days exquisitely. I especially like the bracken fronds and the vintage food van - wonderful.

    1. Thanks, CJ. Taking and playing around with photos is one of my favourite things to do so it's lovely when other people enjoy them too :)

    1. Thank you! Even better, it's now a 4 day week with Easter coming up. Gorgeous weather today - I hope it holds for the weekend (despite what the forecast says)...

    1. Thanks, Emily :) We do love food around here... I'm currently agonising over which cake to bake for Easter, and poring over all those cookery books makes my mouth water too!

    1. Thanks - and the tulips were only £1.80 (should have bought more!) Joe's a sweetie, I'm loving seeing him grow up, even if it does seem to be happening at an alarming rate...

  8. It all sounds lovely, and your photos are beautiful.

I hope you don't mind me asking - do you use filters on your images? If so I love the effect it gives. I was hoping to mention your photography in my next photo tips post if that's ok with you. :-) x

    1. Hi Gillian - Yes, I do use filters and effects on my images as I love playing around with them! And yes, of course you can mention my photography. I'm very flattered and surprised (in a good way!)
I use Photoshop for the basics and correcting problems like cropping, brightening etc. but for the fun stuff I use Picmonkey and pixlr.com (Annie from Knitsofacto mentioned them a while back on her blog and I use them all the time now). Free photo editing sites are much easier to use than Photoshop for that kind of thing.
Anyway, thanks for including me in the next instalment of the photo tips - I loved the last one.
